Inventory
| Our powerful inventory tracking functions
enable you to track inventory, and helps you know when its time to
reorder. All inventory items are created with billing codes. This
automatically adds inventory items to the patients' bill with the
correct codes and depletes your inventory levels simultaneously during
the patient encounter.
The system allows you to track both single items and combinations. A combination items uses a single billing code to combine several single items. For example, you may have an inflatable splint, an ice pack, and a trial pack of analgesic set up as separate items. You may also create a combination (called, perhaps, a "sprain kit") that can be billed to the patient under a single code which will deplete each item from inventory as it is used. The system will track your cost-of-goods for every item, helping you monitor profitability.
